Painted from a photo taken by the artist of the bridge below Fishers Gill whilst on a walk to Helvellyn in the Lake District in 1983. The deep ravine contrasts with the the hills in the background. The figure in the foreground is my wife Kathy taking a rest before we attempted the walk up Helvellyn.
